Reaper Miniature #14028 

This mini lost one of his weapons during a particularly brutal battle (during a move), but still had lots of potential! 

Practice Study: Painting stone carvings with glowing elements and using green & purple glazes over a muted olive skin tone.

Lesson learned: There is no real shortcut to glazing & blending. Time & patience is the secret to smooth skin & interesting glazing effects. I also had a hard time getting well-lit photos of this miniature because of the wings and hunched pose. I added "Lightbox" to my list of miniature supplies I need to create/buy.
